Why Monitoring & Evaluation is Important to NGO's

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) is like giving your project a regular check-up and a final report card. Think of monitoring as the ongoing health check-ups, tracking your project's pulse and making sure it’s on the right track. It's done internally or by a third party during the project. Evaluation, on the other hand, is the big end-of-term review, where an external evaluator comes in to see if the resources were used wisely and if the project met its goals.
